Summary of the Initiative
ESSEC Business School, in collaboration with Accenture, has introduced a pioneering initiative titled ‘AI for Responsible Leadership.’ This initiative celebrates a decade since the inception of the ESSEC Accenture Strategic Business Analytics Chair. It aims to foster responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence among leaders, equipping them with the necessary skills to tackle future challenges across various domains.
The initiative is supported by a network of institutions, businesses, and specialized groups, including ESSEC Metalab for Data, Technology & Society, and Accenture Research. Abdelmounaim Derraz, Executive Director of ESSEC Metalab, emphasized the importance of AI in business education and the potential for collaborative opportunities it presents.
ESSEC and Accenture’s approach integrates multiple fields of expertise, reflecting a decade of experimentation. The initiative will feature workshops and talks to facilitate knowledge sharing and methodological exchange. Additionally, a ‘barometer’ will be introduced to monitor the adoption of AI and its impact on responsible leadership.
An annual Grand Prix will acknowledge and celebrate projects that delve into AI’s role in leadership. Fabrice Marque, founder of the initiative, and Aurélien Bouriot, Managing Director at Accenture, both highlighted the initiative’s potential to transform leadership approaches and create value through AI. Laetitia Cailleteau of Accenture stressed the importance for future leaders to grasp the multifaceted nature of AI, including its technical, ethical, and human dimensions.
